ABOUT ME
Welcome to my professional portfolio, and thanks for visiting. Here you’ll find a collection of work spanning the last 16 years of my career as an educator, along with artwork I have created for clients working as an event coordinator. As a high school biology teacher I co-led a team of educators to develop a one-of-a-kind, freshman program that allows us to deconstruct time, co-teach interdisciplinary lessons, and offer real world experiences to students. We call it co.lab. Many of the pieces you’ll find in this portfolio are the product or reflection of that work.
While being a teacher has been a cornerstone of my identity for the majority of my adult life, it hasn't been the only career or passion I’ve pursued. After being discovered, so to speak, by one of the most talented event coordinators in Chicago at LOLA Event Productions, I was hired as an assistant and designer in 2014. Since then I have created countless, uniquely tailored décor pieces, helping to make the most memorable days even more special for clients.

A co-taught interdisciplinary program for high school Freshman. I designed the classroom furniture, program logo, biology curriculum, exhibition projects, and more!
See an exhibition of the tree planting initiative I directed with the help of Mayor Sherwin of Northlake. Together we planted over 200 trees!
In 2019, just before the pandemic, I was selected by the Board of Ed to chaperone students on an Ecology trip to China. It was an honor to be chosen. The experience has forever changed my world view.
